Get to Know Us
At AMT Group our exceptional team of about a dozen mulitilingual, multicultural facilitator-coaches can help solve your "people challenges," whether that means building up specific skill areas or improving communication within or across teams. Every engagement is managed by one of AMT Group's executive leaders, Yasue Watanabe or Andrew Silberman. In most engagements, one or both of us will work directly in training, coaching, or consulting for you and your people. Other expert coaches (profiles available upon request) join as needed.
Yasue Watanabe
Director
Yasue Watanabe’s personal mission is to “help struggling yet passionate professionals reach break-through performance, especially in global settings.” Leadership training and coaching are the fuel for her life. Her primary focus is on improving people’s impact in communication professionally.
Prior to her career as a learning facilitator and coach, she worked for AMC Entertainment International, Inc. for seven years. She first reported directly to two executive vice presidents assigned from headquarters to set up and run the Japanese branch and theatres, and later served two different presidents of AMC Entertainment’s Japanese subsidiary. While beginning her career at AMC as an assistant to the executive vice presidents, she rose to become the
first female director of the Fortune 1000 subsidiary.
Yasue holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Sanno University. She is a native Japanese speaker and is capable of facilitation in English. She is certified in DiSC®, Everything DiSC®, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter. She has completed the 116-hour CTI Co-Active coaching course and the ORSC (Organization Relationship Systems Coaching) course in California.
Andrew Silberman

Andrew Silberman has been coaching high performance individuals and teams since 1989. At AMT Group, which he co-founded in Tokyo in 1992, he leads a team of multi-national facilitators whose mission is "Developing Global Thinkers." His clients are managers and executives from leading multinational firms throughout Asia & the U.S.A.
Andrew’s expertise is in improving “Global Readiness®,” the theme of his book Get a G.RI.P.*: Andrew’s Ax Guide to Global Readiness®, first published in 2012, second edition by Englightening Press, 2017. The second of the Get a G.R.I.P. series, Get a G.R.I.P. on Presentations, was published in 2019 and the third, Get a G.R.I.P. on Remote Work, in the fall of 2020. He also co-hosts the podcast "Remote Work Companion" available all over the web, including: Apple Podcast, Spotify, Stitcher, Amazon, and others.
Andrew was born in Chicago, IL, raised through high school in Saratoga, CA, and lived in Mexico, Spain, Hawaii, Monterey, and San Diego prior to moving to Tokyo in 1992. He holds an MBA in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (1988, with distinction), and an A.B. in Political Economy of Industrial Societies (PEIS) from U.C.-Berkeley (1984).
